Where did you grow up?

Describe what you do at Antica Farmacista:

As the Director of Sales, I manage our 65 representatives and our boutique businesses.

Where do you point people who are just discovering the collection for the first time?

Our candles make for a great gift — it's such a treat to open the box and find matches inside!

What are your personal favorites?

I am obsessed with Desert Sage. We take a backpacking trip every Thanksgiving and have explored so many areas that include elements of this scent, from the rolling sage plains of the Oregon High Desert to the mesquite and warm sands of Zion National Park. Every time I smell Desert Sage, I'm transported back to those amazingly spectacular places.

What are some passions you pursue outside of work?

I'm a volunteer climb leader and instructor for The Mountaineers and run the Glacier Travel Course.

What's the best advice you've ever received?

“Be who you are and say what you feel because the people who mind don't matter — and the people who matter don't mind.”

Is there anyone in your life you truly admire?

My two younger sisters. I'm so proud of everything they've accomplished so far, and they'll continue to keep soaring!

Do you have any early memories that involve scent?

Waking up on a sunny Saturday (no school!) in Spring with the scent of the hyacinths wafting through the open window. Rushing outside to roller skate with my next door neighbor. We'd park under this HUGE honeysuckle bush and lay there and dream and gorge ourselves on the sweet, citrus nectar of the flowers.

What might we be surprised to know about you?

I play the piano, guitar, and saxophone

Describe your dream getaway.

Warm sand, salty water, a freshly-cracked coconut, sweet passionfruit, and hints of bright citrus blowing in with the breeze. The crash of waves against rugged shores and cliff walls. Swimming above tropical fish and technicolor reefs. Exploring remote coves and grottos in a kayak. Climbing to the top of a waterfall and plunging into the clear pool below, then soaking up the sun on an uninhabited beach. A mix of relaxation and adventure!
